Manufacturing

There are many uses for extrusion in the manufacturing industry.  At BWC our expertise of both aluminium and plastic extrusion has been utilised throughout the industry for some of the biggest and well-known companies.

Medical Equipment

The process of hard coat anodising has resulted in aluminium becoming the defacto material to produce reliable and reusable medical equipment.

Green Technologies

The production of green technologies has 'sky-rocketed' in the last 20 years, and so too has the role extrusions have to play. For instance, both aluminium and plastic are commonly used to manufacture wind-turbines, and in 2013 the number of turbines in the UK hit 30,000, a number that is still increasing significantly today.

Greenhouses

A large portion of Greenhouse's on the market today uses aluminium frames, cladded with plastics extrusion for trim, to achieve high quality, durable and reliable build, whilst doing so affordably.

Lighting

A common use-case for plastic extrusion is the manufacture of lighting diffusers. Aluminium can then be used to create housing for the diffuser to sit in. Their assembly resulting in the casing for the common lighting strips you would find in classrooms and offices.

Office Furniture

Aluminium and plastic extrusions are common places in the office. From desk trim to divider frames, extrusions are crucial for the assembly of the environments we spend each and every day in.
