BWC Group founder, Guy Barker, announces his retirement from the extrusion industry with a management buyout of his business by directors Danny Varley and Mark Barker.
Guy Barker's Statement
"Some months ago I reached the decision that the time had come to stop getting excited about Aluminium and Plastic Extrusion and to dedicate some time to bit of rest and relaxation! To that end I proposed to my senior management team that maybe they would like to engage in a Management Buy Out. I am pleased to announce that Danny Varley and Mark Barker have indeed engaged in this and completed an MBO effective of Wednesday 24th, 2021.
It goes without saying that in the 22 years I have been in business the success, of BWC has been down to the faith put in the business by you our customer, I would therefore like to personally thank you and your colleagues for trusting BWC to supply your products. I hope the relationship continues and indeed grows. For those of you that haven’t looked recently maybe a visit to our website www.bwcgroup.co.uk will give more insight into our activities. Danny Varley
"We are delighted to be able to continue to offer our customers the uninterrupted level of service that they have come to know and expect from BWC over the last 22 years, for many more years to come. The business has changed enormously over the past few years, especially since taking on our 65,000sqft manufacturing facility almost 3 years ago, offering a broader range of in house one-stop shop solutions for our customers under one roof. We now have plastic extrusion, injection moulding and profile fabrication facilities within these four walls as well as a large stock holding facility. Mark and I plan to continue to grow this area of the business, and to strengthen our service offering even further with new technology, investment and a commitment to continual improvement.
I hope that we can continue to grow our relationship in the coming months and years, our absolute aim is support our customers businesses and help them wherever we can with their profile design & supply challenges. I am sure everyone will join Mark and I in wishing Guy all the best as he starts a new chapter of life."
